Brandon Mills
Pastor

God saved Brandon as he was reading Ephesians 1 and 2 alongside a systematic theology textbook. Since that day, he has been passionate about getting the gospel and sound doctrine to the world. Brandon holds an M.Div. in Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he is a bookworm who loves God, the church, and his family. His spare hours are usually spent hanging out with his wife Jeannette, reading, or testing out his latest dad-jokes on their five children.

Deacon

Mark is a man after God's own heart. Out of gratitude for what God has done for Him, he humbly serves Christ. Mark is passionate about the truth of God's word, sound doctrine, and cultivating healthy churches. He is happily married to his wife Kate. When he's not working in his professional career as an inspector, Mark and Kate enjoy horseback riding, gardening, and grilling.

Our prayer is that in the long-term, God would provide more qualified elders to pray, teach, preach, and shepherd. We believe that a church rightly ordered according to the mind of Christ consists of officers and members. The officers being elders and deacons. The ideal scenario for a local church is to practice healthy democratic congregationalism as led by a plurality of elders.

"The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his household with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church? He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil. Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. They must hold the mystery of the faith with ma clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus"
